Sharon M. Logue, 66
HILTON HEAD - Sharon M. Logue, 66, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 14, 2017 at her home in Hilton Head.
Born on April 5, 1951 in Ancon, Panama, Sharon was the beloved daughter of Elizabeth and Julius Szivos. Sharon, a MENSA member, graduated from the University of Maryland in 1974 and went on to obtain her MBA from Loyola University in 1996.
Sharon had a long and prosperous career as the Laboratory Medical Director for many regional hospitals, including REX Healthcare in Raleigh, North Carolina, and WellStar Health System in Atlanta, Georgia.
On September 30, 1978, Sharon married Harry Edgar Logue in Seaford, Delaware. Sharon was a compassionate and loving mother to Robert Logue, Michaela Logue, and Antonia Logue Nguyen and husband Nam Nguyen.
Sharon had many passions in life and a warm spirit that captivated everyone she came across. As a creative and artistic woman, she explored many interests that delighted family and friends. She was known as a gourmet chef, avid seamstress, jewelry designer, and pencil and oil artist. Sharon had a “green thumb” when it came to gardening, always creating landscapes peppered with color and brilliance. Her designs were also inspired by her love of birds. She was known to care for birds for much of her life.
In addition to her caring husband and three adoring children, Sharon is survived by her sister, Joanie Szivos Maguire and husband Frank Maguire, as well as five nieces and seven nephews.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, July 17, 2017 at The Island Funeral Home, in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Sharon’s life will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at St. Francis by the Sea Catholic Church in Hilton Head, with burial to follow at Six Oaks Cemetery.
