Richard Lee Reinhardt was born on Christmas Eve, 1935, in Monroe, Michigan. He was a son of A. Carl Reinhardt and Dorothea (Heck) Reinhardt of LaSalle, MI. His parents and brother, Alvin Carl Reinhardt of Texas, predeceased him.
Richard married Faye Edythe (Kunsch) Reinhardt on October 1, 1960. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Lynne Kaye in PA, Joseph Carl (wife Tricia) in SC, and Stephen Lee (wife Osmara) in NC. Four precious grandchildren - Sage, Deva, Jasper, and Thea - were added blessings. Richard’s wife, Faye, his daughter, two sons and spouses, and grandchildren survive him.
Dick attended the University of Toledo. He held a franchise for Yale Forklift Trucks in four states. He was the owner of Plant Improvements, Cable Technology, Office Improvements, and Manchester Industries. Dick also served for 18 years on the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) Board of Directors. Another interest was the promotion of entrepreneurialism and economic development activities at the local, State, and Federal levels.
His greatest joy was the love of God, Family, and Friends. Richard was active in Churches and Charities everywhere he lived. Living life and pursuing job opportunities with his wife brought home bases in Toledo and Perrysburg, OH, Southeastern Michigan, Houston, TX, and York, PA. Retirement followed in Lexington, VA, and Hilton Head Island, SC.
