Richard (Dick) Silveria unexpectedly passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017 after a brief illness. He had just celebrated his 85th birthday. Dick spent the majority of his business life as an Industrial Engineer for IBM, concentrating in international manufacturing. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Dora J. Silveria.
Dick split his time between Hilton Head Island, SC and Westport, CT. He was a life member of the Saugatuck Harbor Yacht Club, exploring his love for sailing and served on the Board and as the Commodore. After Dora, Dick’s other passion realized in retirement was golf. He was a long time member of the Sea Pines Country Club, playing golf three times a week up until his recent illness.
Loved by all, he will be greatly missed by his children Ricki (Mike Spruill), Danni (Will Fernandez), Kent (Patty Silveria) and grandsons Doug, Austin, Curtis and Eric.
