Harold S. Hadley lived for 85 years in the Toronto area and in Hilton Head Island and he traveled widely.
With his first wife of 44 years, Yvonne, he raised three children: Linda (Robert), Blair (Melissa) and Scott (Anne and then Francine), had eight grandchildren: Cameron, Caroline, Amanda, Nicole, Marshall, James, Josephine and Jamie; and a great grandchild, Cedric.
With his second wife, Claudia, he spent 15 years enjoying many cats and dogs and his family.
Professionally, Harold was a chartered accountant, a car dealer of Ford, Lincoln and Mercury. With colleagues and good friends, he created a financial services corporation which continues to thrive.
Harold gave great boisterous parties, raised prize-winning Charolais cattle, had farms where he could have his Irish wolfhounds and a pair of swans of every species in Canada. He planted trees like some people plant gardens. He loved to sail. His time at Fox Lake with his family was one of his great pleasures.
The service will be held in May at Christ Church, Ilfracombe, Ontario, near Fox Lake.
