
Fred is a native of Detroit, Michigan, and he and his wife, Shirley, moved to Hilton Head Island in 1980. Fred has been with the firm as a funeral service associate and is a staff member emeritus.
He is a graduate of Wilbur Wright High School in Detroit and Chrysler Corporation's Manufacturing Engineering Division. He attended The University of Detroit and Macomb Community College.
Fred served as an apprentice at Fraizer Funeral Home in Detroit.
He married Shirley Hobart in 1955 and they have two children, Mark and Sandra and four grandchildren.
Fred retired from the Chrysler Corporation after thirty years of service and the Michigan National Guard after thirty one years of service.
He is a founding member of St. Francis by the Sea parish on Hilton Head Island. He formed the present Knights of Columbus Council, the Thomas D. Reilley Sr. Council in 1991. He was District Deputy for the state of South Carolina for 2 years. He is a life member of Knight of Columbus, 3rd and 4th degree and The Fraternal Order of the Alhambra.
Fred founded and ran a golf tournament for twenty years to benefit the developmentally impaired of Beaufort County.
